To ensure the smooth functioning of the college, a number of rules and regulations have been formulated, strict, adherence to which shall be necessary. The college encourages parents'/guardians' participation by means of suggestions, but does not accept the demands of anyone in policy matters. They are requested to send their useful suggestions to the administration in writing. Proposals and suggestions, if found appropriate, shall be duly incorporated The college may ask the parents/guardians to withdraw his/her child from the institution if his/her conduct or educational progress is not found up to the set standard. The Principal has the right to change the choice of subjects of a student is he/she is poor in the opted subjects or is unable to perform well at any stage. Students securing less than 40% marks in all subjects in pre-board exams and less than 75% attendance may not be allowed to appear for Board Examinations. Academics and Promotions: L.N. to Prep.: The assessment is carried out by the teacher on day- to day work and monthly revision tests as well as on the basis of mid-term & term end exams performance for promotion to the next class. Class I to V: Promotion is based on the continuous assessment/terminal exams. Any student absent from the test will not be re-examined. However, if the medical certificate of illness is produced within three days of the absence from the tests, average marks will be taken into consideration. Class VI onwards: The promotion will be determined on the basis of continuous assessment and terminal examinations. The evaluation of the work will be on the basis of both, the result of examination and the work done during the year. The consolidated marks of the academic year will be the marks considered for promotion. A student must secure 45% marks in every subject for getting promotion. No-re examination is permitted. A student failing twice in the same class shall not be allowed to continue. The decision of the Principal in regard to promotion, detention and expulsion shall be final and binding. Please note that those students having failed in securing pass marks in English subject will not be promoted to next class. Failures of class X and XII will not be admitted as regular students in the college. Code of Behaviour: 1. We expect our students to behave like civilized and polite individuals. 2. Any kind of internal dispute among the students is not tolerable. 3. The students will be required to comply with the orders of the administration and act as per its instructions. 4. If a student causes damage of any kind to to the College property, he/she shall be charged for its repair or replacement, as the need be. 5. Students not wearing the proper uniform/coming late may not be allowed to attend their classes. 6. If a student leaves the College without permission, he/she shall be responsible in all respects, and disciplinary action shall be initiated against him/her. 7. In cases of indiscipline, the College has the right to suspend or rusticate a student. No correspondence shall be entertained or explanation given in such matters. Attendance: 1. Regular attendance is absolutely essential for every student. Parents are requested to see that their ward does not absent himself/herself from the college. 2. Minimum attendance required to be able to sit for the examination is 75% of the working days. This includes leave against medical certificate. 3. A promoted student must be present on the re-opening day after vacations. 4. The names of students, who do not turn up within three days of the opening of the college in April, will be automatically struck off the rolls. 5. If a student remains absent for two weeks without permission and genuine reasons, his/her name shall be struck off. Holidays & Leaves- 1. Leave cannot be claimed as a matter of right. It can be denied if and when deemed necessary by the college. 2. Parents/Guardians seeking permission with unscheduled/scheduled leaves are required to duly comply with the college leave procedures. 3. Leaves shall not be granted a week before or during the examinations. 4.Disciplinary action will be initiated for not complying with the College calendar of Holidays. Withdrawal- An Application must be submitted by the parents for the transfer certificate of a student two days ahead along with a fee for Rs. 100/-. A minimum of two days time will be required to issue the T.C. All fees and other dues up to the end of the academic session will be paid in full if the application for withdrawal is submitted during the session. Application for withdrawal will not be entertained without clearance of all dues. Parental Co-operation- In order to tap the best in the child, maximum co-operation between parents and college authorities is desired. Parents are earnestly requested to see and sign their ward's diary every day and ensure that the lessons and the home-work assigned for the next day is done. The students should be encouraged to cultivate neatness. Remarks in the diary should be seen, signed and acted upon. If the student does not make the desired progress, parents should contact the Principal. Private tuition by our staff members is NOT permitted. Criticism of teachers or college in the presence of students is unethical and the parents should refrain themselves from doing so. The parents are welcome to come and meet the Principal and the teachers (through the Principal) to discuss matters relating to their ward during the visiting hours or on day/s fixed for teacher-parent meeting which will be intimated in writing well in advance.Parents are not allowed to go inside the classes/staff-rooms. Responsibilities- 1. The students shall be responsible for the safety of their own books and belongings etc. 2. All books and exercise books must be covered with brown paper. 3. Home work must be done regularly. 4. Students must bring tiffin boxe, water bottle with a clean napkin. 5. Students should not bring more than Rs. 20/- with them. 6. An application must be send to the Principal for students' absence. 7. If a student is sick, a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner must be attached with the application. 8. Every student should attend the college in neat and proper uniform. 9. Girls should not wear ornaments. 10. Students should help in making the class rooms and campus clean. 11. Parents are requested to co-operate with the authorities to ensure discipline and smooth functioning of the college. 12. Discipline is the key-note of the college. The verdict of the Principal will be final in all matters related to academic activites. |
